I made this series of eight abstract photographs of the sky on the morning of November 2, 2020. I was giving my son a ride to work when I saw rays of light emerging from the clouds. I didn't have time to stop, because Mack would have been late to work. Thankfully, the phenomenon was still visible in the sky when we arrived. He walked into the office, and I got out of the car and photographed the sky!

The last three photographs were made at the same location on the northeast side of Fort Wayne, Indiana; the area of the sky with the dark bands of clouds was just west of the clouds with the rays of light.
