The "We Buy Gold" store in the JoAnn Plaza shopping center on Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne always has people standing on the corner holding these "Cash For Gold" signs. This young man always dresses as Superman or Spiderman, so I stopped and photographed him. He said he was 19 years old and was working to help support his three week old baby son.

With the economy the way it is in Fort Wayne, this is about the only kind of job available. I've recently seen a lot of men my father's age holding signs on street corners for places like this, and for other retailers and restaurants. Many of them had good paying middle class jobs. Now they stand around all day holding a sign for minimum wage.

Things worked out better for the young man in the photo. A couple months later, I finally got around to making him the print that I promised him of this photograph. I went looking for him, and one of his co-workers told me that he had been promoted, and was the manager of another We Buy Gold location in Fort Wayne. His hard work finally paid off, and he is doing well now.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Unframed prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print and to allow it to cure for several days before I package it to ship. Framed prints usually take about two weeks, because my framer usually requires about a week to complete his work.

Please Note: In late 2024, I was forced to dramatically increase the prices for framed prints. This reflects the actual cost of framing them. I make no profit from the additional charge for framing; I charge you what the framer charges me, and every framer that I know has had to ramp up prices due to inflation in recent years. I earn my living selling my photographs, and offer the framing at cost because many people prefer to buy a print that is framed and ready to display.
