This fireworks store in a former gas station is in a rural area along US-30 in LaPorte County. I would not have noticed the small building surrounded by tall trees if Uncle Sam hadn't been standing on the roof! I have another photograph of Uncle Sam on the fireworks store.

I made this photograph on a rainy afternoon as my son and I were driving to Chicago, where we were attending the annual Brickworld convention, which is a large gathering of Lego enthusiasts. Mack loves Legos, and had been looking forward to the trip for months, and it was a good excuse for me to get out of Fort Wayne and explore some areas of rural Indiana that I had not seen before.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Unframed prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print and to allow it to cure for several days before I package it to ship. Framed prints usually take about two weeks, because my framer usually requires about a week to complete his work.

Please Note: In late 2024, I was forced to dramatically increase the prices for framed prints. This reflects the actual cost of framing them. I make no profit from the additional charge for framing; I charge you what the framer charges me, and every framer that I know has had to ramp up prices due to inflation in recent years. I earn my living selling my photographs, and offer the framing at cost because many people prefer to buy a print that is framed and ready to display.
