This abandoned brick church is on the corner of Hoagland Road and Clayton Road in southeast Allen County, Indiana. The crossroads is marked on maps of the county as "Boston Corner," though there is no town there and never has been. This church is all there is!
I discovered it while driving to the nearby town of Monroeville back in January, 2008. The weather was bad that day, as it was very windy, so I marked the map so I could return to photograph it later.
I made this photograph on my third trip there, the first time I was able to find the right light without a lot of wind. It was Easter Sunday.
This is the original part of the church. There is a newer addition on one side, which formed a second garage bay. The church has been used as a garage or as a barn for the storage of farm machinery.
I made several photographs of this building. See the next photograph of this old brick church on Hoagland Road.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.
Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.
If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.
Unframed prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print and to allow it to cure for several days before I package it to ship. Framed prints usually take about two weeks, because my framer usually requires about a week to complete his work.
Please Note: In late 2024, I was forced to dramatically increase the prices for framed prints. This reflects the actual cost of framing them. I make no profit from the additional charge for framing; I charge you what the framer charges me, and every framer that I know has had to ramp up prices due to inflation in recent years. I earn my living selling my photographs, and offer the framing at cost because many people prefer to buy a print that is framed and ready to display.
