Don Goss was my art teacher at Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I made this portrait of him in the school's main gym during a final tour of the school given to alumni in 2017.

The school, which opened in 1929, was closed by Fort Wayne Community Schools in 2010. In 2017, they sold the building and land to Hanson Aggregates, which owns the huge limestone quarry next to the school. They plan to demolish the school soon.

I graduated in 1994; when I was a student, Mr. Goss encouraged me to go to art school. I am one of many of his students who went on to become fulltime professional artists.

Mr. Goss is himself an Elmhurst graduate. After he graduated in 1949, he went to the army, then college. After finishing his education, he returned to Elmhurst as a teacher, and remained at the school for 56 years! He retired in 2010 when the school was closed.

He is 86 years old.

Update: Mr. Goss passed away on March 12, 2019. He was born on March 20, 1931 and died about a week before his 88th birthday.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print, and if you have ordered a framed print, to frame and mat it.
