The Jefferson Township Center School has been one of my favorite subjects, which I have returned to many times over the last 20 years. It is located at Besancon; a crossroads with two cemeteries, a few houses, a Catholic church, and this abandoned one-room schoolhouse on Lincoln Highway (Old US-30) in the eastern part of Allen County, Indiana.

The road actually splits to go around the front and back of the schoolhouse! Back in the late 1990s, there was an old woman living in the house across the street from the schoolhouse (behind where I stood to make my photograph) who told me that she owned the schoolhouse, which her own mother had attended as a child in the early 20th Century. The schoolhouse was built in 1898.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Unframed prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print and to allow it to cure for several days before I package it to ship. Framed prints usually take about two weeks, because my framer usually requires about a week to complete his work.

Please Note: In late 2024, I was forced to dramatically increase the prices for framed prints. This reflects the actual cost of framing them. I make no profit from the additional charge for framing; I charge you what the framer charges me, and every framer that I know has had to ramp up prices due to inflation in recent years. I earn my living selling my photographs, and offer the framing at cost because many people prefer to buy a print that is framed and ready to display.
