The letter G has fallen from the sign on Building 36 at the huge General Electric complex in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The building sits empty, like most of the buildings in the century-old manufacturing center. Building 36, located on Wall Street, just west of College Street, appears to be much newer than most of the GE buildings in the city.

Thousands of Fort Wayne residents worked at this complex through most of the 20th Century. Shortly before I made this photograph, GE announced that the remaining operations in Fort wayne, which only employ about 100 people, will soon be shut down. At one time, the company had more than twenty-five thousand employees here!

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Unframed prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print and to allow it to cure for several days before I package it to ship. Framed prints usually take about two weeks, because my framer usually requires about a week to complete his work.

Please Note: In late 2024, I was forced to dramatically increase the prices for framed prints. This reflects the actual cost of framing them. I make no profit from the additional charge for framing; I charge you what the framer charges me, and every framer that I know has had to ramp up prices due to inflation in recent years. I earn my living selling my photographs, and offer the framing at cost because many people prefer to buy a print that is framed and ready to display.
