Don Goss was my art teacher at Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne. He was the art teacher there when my parents were students at Elmhurst in the late 1960s, and he was himself an Elmhurst graduate (Class of 1949).
He retired in 2010, when the school was closed as a budget cutting measure, leaving a legacy that included numerous professional artists among his former students. He had taught at Elmhurst for 56 years.
I made this photograph during my senior year in high school.
1994
Update: Mr. Goss passed away on March 12, 2019. He was born on March 20, 1931 and died about a week before his 88th birthday.
All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.
