Indiana Preservationist

The March-April 2010 issue of Indiana Preservationist used one of my photographs of the General Electric factory in Fort Wayne to illustrate an article on historic industrial buildings in Indiana. The magazine is the official publication of the Indiana Historic Landmarks Foundation, a historic preservation organization.

The photograph is on page 8, shown below. It shows the huge sign atop the GE factory on Broadway, just south of Downtown, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The factory once employed thousands of workers, but today only a few hundred still work there. The building with the sign is still used, but a few other buildings on the sprawling GE campus have been demolished in recent years.

The photo on the cover is an archival photo, not one of mine.
