SammyI met Sammy and his girlfriend while I was photographing the sign outside Mary's Bar. He thought Mary was crazy because she refused to sell him a second drink after he had one beer because, unusually for a bar owner, she thinks that's more than enough. She told me later that she's afraid of liability if someone gets drunk at her bar and gets in an auto accident, so she says she tells people if they don't like it, they can, and I quote: "Get the Hell out!" He wasn't drunk; the beer he bought from Mary was the only thing he'd drank. February 2007
