Abandoned GE Factory #44

Old bowling balls and bowling bags left behind in the bowling alley in the basement of the GE Club building at the former General Electric factory complex in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They probably belonged to General Electric employees who had bowled at the GE Club years ago when the factories were still running. One of the bags has the name of its owner, Bob Fisher, written on it in black marker.

The GE Club was built in 1927, and included both a basketball court and a bowling alley for General Electric's Fort Wayne employees to use. GE closed the last of their operations in Fort Wayne at the beginning of 2015. The former factory complex is being redeveloped into a housing and retail center to be called "Electric Works."

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.
